About the event
Ganzirri, a picturesque village on the Ionian coast of Capo Peloro in Messina, transforms into the "Village of 100 Nativity Scenes" from December 8th to January 6th. This event, organized by the Parish of San Nicola and the Municipality of Messina, lights up every corner of the village with handcrafted nativity scenes and festive decorations, celebrating spirituality and creativity.
On December 8th, the artistic nativity scene in Via Lago Grande is unveiled, a centerpiece of the event that blends tradition and innovation to depict the Nativity. The streets, adorned with dozens of nativity displays, create a unique atmosphere that invites visitors to explore Sicilian Christmas traditions.
On December 14th, Ganzirri becomes a stage for music and performances: the "Babbo Natale Band" and the "G. Risi" Wind Orchestra bring the village to life, accompanied by dynamic choreography from the JS Dance Academy. Exhibits of historic buses, handcrafted models, and artisanal stallsโฆ
